Brand new to Studio Move?
Start by using the age guidelines in the brackets next to each class in the timetable. We recommend that dancers are the given age by at least March of this year and we generally don’t move dancers up into new levels part way through a year (just like at school!). It is always best to check with us via email, Facebook OR on our Open Day if you have the chance to make sure you are signing your dancer up for the best class for them.
Danced with us in 2023?
Use the quick guide below to see what level your dancer has moved up to this year. Most classes will move up a level, with a few exceptions being some in Hip Hop, Acro and younger Lyrical classes as well as our Baby/Tiny/Mini Movers. Again, take a read of the below info, look at the timetable and then ALSO double check that you enrol your dancer into their correct class for 2024.
JAZZ & BALLET
2023 Pre Junior –> 2024 Junior
2023 Junior –> 2024 Petite
2023 Petite –> 2024 Primary
2023 Primary –> 2024 Elementary
2023 Elementary –> 2024 Intermediate
2023 Senior –> 2024 Senior
2023 Advanced –> 2024 Advanced
The age of the dancer is the age at which they are at the beginning of the year (before March 31).
For example, if your dancer is 7 or turns on or before March 31, 2024, they should be in our Junior level classes for the year. Dancers will stay in the same level and move up at the beginning of every year with their whole class.
