Uniform Guide
Let’s Move in style!
All dancers at Studio Move wear our studio uniform each week. It helps them feel confident, ready to move safely, and sets the tone for a focused, fun class! Our full uniform range from The Dance Spot is now compulsory and designed to be comfy, practical, and stylish across all styles and last dancers on average around 2 years, if not longer!
Pink for the littles: Baby, Tiny, Mini & Pre-Junior classes wear our pink chiffon leotard dress.
Black for the big kids: Junior level and up wear our sleek black uniform range - mix and match leotards, tops, and shorts across styles! Leotards are required for Jazz and Ballet. See below for more specific details.

✨ Second-hand uniforms available via our closed Facebook group – email us to join! NOTE - stock is very limited as our uniform range fits and lasts dancers for a few years. We recommend buying your own.

BALLET
Pre-Junior: Pink chiffon capped sleeve dress
Junior & Up: Black Move leotard, ballet shoes, ballet socks/tights, hair in a bun
JAZZ
Pre-Junior: Pink chiffon capped sleeve dress + tan jazz shoes
Junior to Intermediate: Black Move leotard & shorts + tan jazz shoes
Senior/Advanced: Black singlet & shorts/leggings + tan jazz shoes
LYRICAL & CONTEMPORARY (All Levels)
Any black Studio Move gear (singlet required for exams)
Black leggings or shorts
– No shoes
HIP HOP (All Levels)
Any black Studio Move gear (tee recommended)
Black shorts or pants
Clean street shoes
ACRO (All Levels)
Fitted black Studio Move gear: singlet/leotard/crop + shorts/leggings (tees not appropriate or safe)
No shoes
SOLOS / DUOS / TROUPES
No set uniform for classes, but dancers must own Studio Move tee or singlet for comp days and wear the Comp Academy Jacket
OUTERWEAR
On chilly days, dancers can wear Studio Move jumpers, jackets, or track pants. Non-uniform layers will be removed once warm up ends and class starts
